Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for our Main Operating Room. This role supports surgeons and staff by preparing rooms, supplies and equipment, ensuring aseptic technique, and maintaining surgeon preference cards.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate care for patients of all ages, anticipate surgeons' needs, and manage instrument, sponge, and sharp counts.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or TS-C by the NCCT is required.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification at hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients of all ages and communicate effectively with surgical teams.
• Prepare rooms, supplies and equipment for procedures under RN supervision.
• Maintain aseptic technique and correct breaks in sterility.
• Perform instrument, sponge and sharp counts for all procedures.
• Update and review surgeon preference cards.
• Assist and/or follow RN Circulator to set up rooms and obtain equipment.
