Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for the Main Operating Room. This Level II Trauma Center offers day shifts (4-10s or 3-12s) with some weekend call and competitive benefits from Day 1.

Minimum qualifications include NBSTSA CST or NCCT TS-C and BLS at hire; incumbent will assist, gown, glove, and support the perioperative team while managing counts and equipment across specialties.

Qualifications

• CST certification NBSTSA or TS-C NCCT required.
• BLS for healthcare providers required at hire.
• Entry level with CST program completion.

Responsibilities

• Care for all age groups (Neonate to Geriatric) as applicable.
• Comply with hospital safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain cautery safety and proper grounding.
• Identify and correct breaks in aseptic technique.
• Perform routine equipment checks for proper function.
• Update surgeon preference cards and assist in surgery.
• Gown and glove perioperative team and self as needed.
• Function independently in at least one other specialty area.
• Anticipate and prioritize surgeon needs; communicate with RN Circulator.
• Manage instruments, sponges, and sharps counts for procedures.
• Assist RN Circulator to set up rooms and obtain equipment.
