Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, part of Saint Alphonsus Health System, is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech for our Main Operating Room. The CST will prepare rooms, supplies, and equipment for procedures under RN supervision and must maintain aseptic technique and accurate counts.

Ideal candidates will handle patient care across age groups with effective communication within the surgical team.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or TS-C by NCCT is required.
• Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network at hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures under RN supervision.
• Ensure aseptic technique and correct breaks in aseptic technique.
• Perform equipment checks and reviews of surgeon preference cards.
• Gown and glove sterilized team members, and assist RN Circulator as needed.
• Independently manage instrument, sponge and sharp counts for procedures.
