Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified Surgical Technologist for a full-time night shift. You will assist surgeons, prepare sterile instruments, and maintain aseptic conditions on a busy operating floor. The role requires BLS certification, CST credential and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; preferred technical/vocational training.
• Associate degree or technical/vocational school preferred.
• Surgical Technology field experience preferred; BLS and CST certification required.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate surgeon needs and inform circulating nurse throughout procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and correct any breaks.
• Assemble supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Support staff relationships and respond to complaints promptly.
• Monitor aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and take corrective action when needed.

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Maintains high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff; and responds to complaints in a timely manner.
• Monitors aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and takes immediate corrective action for any breaks in technique.
