AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, and ensure instrument readiness for procedures.

Required are BLS, CST certification, and 2+ years of OR experience; strong communication and teamwork are essential. This full-time, day-shift role is located at 10925 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, FL 32832, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• State CST certification required.
• 2+ years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs the circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and supports asepsis throughout cases.
• Prepares and assembles supplies, equipment, and medications for procedures.
• Supports satisfaction initiatives and collaborates with physicians and staff.
• Monitors instrument counts and regulatory compliance in the OR.

Job Description

Up to $7,500 Sign‑on Bonus and $3,000 Relocation available for eligible candidates (see terms below) *Terms: 12 month Employment Contract Required for Sign‑On and Relocation Sign‑on Eligibility: Applicable experience required. Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible. Relocation Eligibility: Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Maintains high standards and quality in facilitating cost savings and containment.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction activities; maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff; and responds to complaints in a timely manner.
• Monitors aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and takes immediate corrective action for any breaks in technique.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.

• [Required] Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the healthcare industry.

• [Required] Up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory requirements and laws at various jurisdictional levels.

• [Required] Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• [Required] Ability to consistently demonstrate clear communication skills, strong anticipatory skills, and concentration to detail.
• [Required] Assembly of mechanical devices and knowledge of fundamental human anatomy.
• [Required] Must be able to work well with multiple team members.
• [Required] Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule and adapt to change.
