Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift position. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, planning and delivering care, medication administration, patient education, and coordination with the healthcare team.

Eligible clinicians may earn salary increases through the Clinical Ladder and a sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Schedule includes nights, 7:00pm to 7:00am, with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental and social factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely following physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and maintain clear documentation.

Sign-on Eligibility

Schedule: Full time, 36 hours

Shift: Nights, 7:00pm to 7:00am

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
