Prisma Health in Laurens County is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in patient care before, during, and after surgery as part of the sterile team. You will prepare the OR, assist the team during procedures, and ensure aseptic technique while handling instruments and specimens.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program and current CST/TS-C certifications; annual continuing education is also required. This is a day shift in Laurens County Medical Campus.

Qualificações

• Education: Surgical Technology program or US Armed Forces surgical tech training.
• Certification: CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) if SC prior to 2008.
• Maintenance: 15 hours of ST education annually, or grandfathered under state law.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in caring for patients across ages during surgical procedures.
• Prepare OR by opening sterile supplies and arranging instruments.
• Assist surgical team during operations and maintain instrument counts.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for breaches, correcting as needed.
• Coach and train new team members, sharing knowledge and skills.
• Complete annual age-specific accountabilities and perform other duties as assigned.
