Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist II to prepare sterile supplies, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field in diverse surgical cases. The CST II may supervise junior staff and serve as primary scrub tech on complex procedures.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and experience in multiple specialties. A sign-on bonus is available; this full-time position offers day shifts and an opportunity to join a not-for-profit hospital system

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CST accredited program.
• CST Certification upon hire.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire.
• Experience scrubbing multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for procedures; maintain sterile field.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assist as primary scrub tech; supervise junior staff as needed.
• Possess proficiency in basic spine procedures, sports medicine, and orthopedic total joint surgery; act as camera holder/retractor holder when required.
