Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room services at METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER. You will assist in sterile technique, prepare instruments, and ensure patient safety during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining OR cleanliness, assisting with patient care across neonate to geriatric populations, orienting staff to equipment, and upholding the system's mission, values and customer service standards. Shift rotate with weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA required.
• Current AHA BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds.

Shift: 3p-11:30p/11p-7:30a; Rotating shifts based on unit need; Rotating weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Required:

• High school graduate or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
• Possesses and maintains certification as a surgical technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtains within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
