Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - East Campus is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our night shift team. This full-time position supports surgical procedures by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting the scrub role throughout cases.

Responsibilities include setting up operating room equipment, passing instruments, and ensuring readiness for the following day’s schedule. A CAHEP accredited program and BLS are required; OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program is required.
• Surgical technologists must be able to assist in sterile technique and instrument handling.
• Experience with operating room setup and sterile supplies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and prepare equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Scrub in, pass instruments, and assist during surgeries as needed.
• Assist with case setup, breakdown, and daily OR readiness.

Job Summary

Job Type: Full Time

The Certified Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Surgical Tech is responsible for aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment, instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule.


• Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program.


• Preferred: Associate degree.

Experience

• Preferred: 1 year.

Certifications

• Required: AHA BLS.


• Surgical Technology certification.
