Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, OR is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for full-time days. Wage range is $26.95–$38.80 hourly. You will maintain sterile technique, assist the surgical team, and prep the OR and patients for procedures.

Responsibilities include passing instruments, operating room equipment, preparing specimens, and ensuring sterile conditions. Schedule: 4x10s, 7A-5:30P, on-call required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field in the operating room and pass instruments, sutures, and sponges.
• Set up the operating room and organize sterile equipment and supplies.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction, and electrosurgical units.
• Prepare patients for surgery and transport/position them on the table.
• Scrub hands/arms and wear sterile attire to maintain a sterile field.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide sterile items promptly.
• Handle specimens and dispose of waste per protocol.
• Clean and restock the operating room and follow safety standards.
• Adhere to The Joint Commission standards and attend trainings.
• Provide age-appropriate care for all age groups.
