Job summary

Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech to support safe nursing care in the operating room under RN oversight. The role includes scrubbing for procedures, assisting the surgeon, and maintaining sterile technique while ensuring efficient turnover between cases.

A graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with a Surgical Tech Certification and 1 year OR experience is preferred, with a required BCLS certification upon employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement
• Surgical Tech Certification
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center)
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (Online certification not acceptable)

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care and observation in the OR
• Scrub and assist the surgeon at the operative field
• Turnover operating rooms between cases and clean equipment and surfaces
• Prepare procedure room for use the following day by setting up equipment and reporting needs to supervisor
