The role operates under the supervision of the surgeon and within hospital policy, requiring scrubbing duties, supply selection, asepsis, and compassionate care for patients, visitors, and staff. Full-time with a stable 40-hour schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist course required.
• Surgical technologist Certification is required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist First Assist.
• 2 years as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• BCLS Certification within 30 days.
• Completion of accredited CSFA program with subsequent certification as Surgical Technologist First Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrubbing functions during surgical procedures according to prescribed standards.
• Selects routine supplies and equipment required for surgical procedure.
• Assists with environmental asepsis.
• Treat each patient, visitor and employee with compassion and courtesy, maintaining excellent customer relations.
