Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; current BLS certification.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification; where applicable, state regulatory registration.
• 2+ years of operating room experience; scrub proficiency on at least 2 surgical specialties.
• Must be conscientious, organized, and able to respond quickly in emergent situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in perioperative patient care and intraoperative procedures.
• Prepare for surgical procedures; assemble instruments and supplies; ensure instrument readiness.
• Maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout procedures.
• Assist with plan of care per physician orders; adhere to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as First Assistant to Surgeon in the operating room and follow safety protocols.
