AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a Part-time PRN Surgical Support role to assist with operating room procedures and patient care. The position requires assisting the surgeon, maintaining sterility, and preparing instruments and equipment per physician preferences.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, instrument handling, counts, and post-procedure cleanup, with a focus on safety and efficiency in a high-demand surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare surgical suites with appropriate instruments, resources, and supplies based on surgeon preference cards.

Responsabilités

• Utilizes physician preference cards to set up operating suites and updates cards as instructed.
• Determines appropriate surgical equipment and supplies based on physician preferences.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors team to ensure no breaks in technique.
• Performs instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator as needed.
• Assists with positioning patients, stabilizing equipment, and patient comfort and safety.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization and prepares instrumentation for transport.
