Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as first assistant (preferred).
• BLS CPR certification required.
• CSA/CSFA or equivalent certification required.
• Reads/writes/speaks English.

Responsibilities

• Positions patients for optimal surgical exposure while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Assists with hemostasis and manages clamps, cautery, and ligation.
• Prepares and maintains the surgical area and instruments.
• Assists with closure of body layers and specimen handling.
• Coordinates with anesthesia and nursing staff to regulate patient temperature and support during procedures.
• Performs postoperative checks for positioning-related complications.
