Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville seeks a Certified Surgical First Assistant to support the surgeon and ensure patient safety during operations.

You will perform intraoperative tasks, maintain sterility, and participate as first or second assistant; certification and state licensure within required timeframes are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Assistant program.
• Certification required as a Certified Surgical Assistant through ABSA, NBSTSA, NCCSA, or NSAA.
• Medical Surgical Assistant license through TN Dept of Health with 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred. Scrub experience is required for this position.
• Prefer 2 years experience as a surgical assistant
• BLS
• SA/CSFA/CSA certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• High School Diploma / GED
• CPR/Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
