Job summary

Providence Surgery Center in Tennessee is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to support surgeons before, during, and after procedures. This role is integral to safe, efficient perioperative care and requires adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards.

The CSFA must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assist program, hold CSFA credentials, maintain active certification with CE requirements, and have current BLS; ACLS preferred depending on center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assist or equivalent program.
• CSFA credential required.
• Active certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred or as required by the center)
• Multispecialty experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery center preferred
• Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, multispecialty surgical environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• 1 Treatment Room

The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) provides direct support to surgeons before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role is essential to ensuring safe, efficient, and high quality surgical care. The CSFA functions as a key member of the perioperative team, assisting with operative procedures while maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique, regulatory standards, and patient safety protocols.
