BayMark Health Services seeks a compassionate Substance Use Counselor in the Los Angeles area to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies. You will conduct individual and group sessions, collaborate with medical staff, and help patients progress toward recovery in an outpatient setting.

The role requires California certification, adherence to screening protocols, and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Certified Counselor in the State of California.
• Experience with chemically dependent individuals preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual and group counseling; direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate services across treatment.
• Complete bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitate, establish and review initial treatment plans with patients.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Ensure delivery of counseling services to all patients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
