BAART Programs in Los Angeles, CA seeks a compassionate Substance Use Counselor to support patients through medically assisted treatments and coping strategies. You will conduct individual and group sessions, collaborate with clinicians, and help patients progress toward recovery in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications include CA certification and experience with chemically dependent individuals; a positive, non-judgmental attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Counselor in the State of California.
• Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services across treatment.
• Completes Bio-psychosocial assessment.
• Facilitates and reviews initial treatment plans with patients.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
