Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Structural Welders for a project in Apex, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential duties include selecting equipment, laying out components, welding with various processes, and maintaining safety standards on-site. Candidates must be able to work in a demanding industrial environment and adhere to SIC procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required.
• Observe SIC safety and quality processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding using knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts with cutting tools and presses.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions and situations.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
