Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Structural Welders for a project in Apex, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Qualifications include strong communication, safety training, and adherence to SIC safety and quality procedures. The role requires physical capability to perform welding duties and work in a demanding environment on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Complete all safety and general job training as required by SIC.

Responsibilities

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of metal properties and welding techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts with cutting torch and hand tools.
• Rate information using standard measurements and checks.
• Detect and respond to dangerous conditions and situations.
