Job summary

Central Gulf Industrial Alliance seeks a skilled welder capable of certifying on single process plate and performing SMAW or GMAW welding. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding fabricated and forged parts to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, and pipe systems per blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, planning layouts, welding in diverse positions, and ensuring weld quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and metallurgy requirements.
• Proficient in multiple welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, and related techniques).
• Ability to lay out, align and weld structural components to spec.

Responsibilities

• Select pipe sizes and materials per specifications.
• Plan layouts and welding sequences with understanding of weld shrinkage and geometry.
• Weld and assemble components in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Connect welding equipment to achieve correct amperage and voltage as specified.
• Inspect bead size and weld quality to ensure conformance.
• Maintain safety and perform routine tool maintenance.
