Job summary

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Specialist to provide prehabilitation and conditioning for fighter aircrew. You will assess, design and implement an MSK strengthening program to reduce neck and back injuries, and maintain records for all aircrew personnel.

This role requires a Master's in a related field, five years' experience, and current CSCS/CSCCa and SCCC certifications, plus CPR/AED. A Secret Clearance is required to support operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• CSCS or CSCCa certification required; SCCC certification required.
• CPR/AED certification required.

Job description

The Strength and Conditioning Specialist will provide prehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions in fighter aircrew. As such, the employee will evaluate and provide prehabilitative assessment and maintenance to fighter aircrew personnel to strengthen core musculoskeletal (MSK) system to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. The CSCS will also design and implement an overall MSK strengthening and health lifestyle education program addressing the overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. The CSCS will perform initial evaluation, design individual training program, and establish records for all fighter aircrew personnel.

Security Requirement:

• Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Education:

• Possess a Master's degree in an accredited Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field.

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Possess a minimum of two (5) years' experience as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist in collegiate (or higher), professional, or tactical environment.
• Possess and maintain a current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCCa).
• Must be Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
• Possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

DESIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Sustained experience working with elite athlete populations: Preferred experience includes, working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) specific performance programs and developing sport/mission specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with elite athletes (i.e. Division I collegiate, Olympic, professional level athletes or military combat professionals).
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, professional code of ethics, AF guidance, DoD guidance, and practice standards in order to ensure adherence within legal and professional parameters.
• Knowledge and skills in using quality and risk management programs to identify issues to improve practice and ensure compliance.
