Job summary

Requirements include 1 year of surgical department experience, Sterile Processing or National Surgical Technician certification, and BLS through AHA. Endoscope reprocessor cert required within one year."

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in surgical department in an acute care facility required.
• Sterile Processing certification or National Surgical Technician certification required.
• Current BLS obtained through AHA required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds to assure equipment is properly charged for usage.
• Maintain sterile/clean supplies and issue to nursing units on request.
• Decontaminate, assemble and wrap instruments and trays for sterilizations.
• Pull cases and prioritize instrumentation needs based on the surgery schedule.
