Norman Regional in Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician. This position involves decontaminating and preparing medical instruments while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must have a high school education or equivalent, along with certification through HSPA or CBSPD and at least one year of sterile processing experience.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with a holiday rotation. Join our dedicated team to contribute to the quality and safety of patient care.
Our Sterile Processing Department is a fast paced, team oriented, quality driven team consisting of 22 members, with experience ranging from 6 months to 37 years. The types of procedures performed in our health system include cardiology, orthopedics, dental, endocrine, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, robotics, gynecology, labor and delivery, neurology urology, and bariatrics. As a team, we process between 2500 and 15,000 instruments per day. Our processing technicians demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, critical thinking skills and recognize the importance of their role as a key component to our health systems commitment to our patients and the need for quality work.
