UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Sterile Processing team at the Uniontown facility. The role focuses on decontamination, processing, sterilization, and storage of sterile supplies, with emphasis on accuracy and safety in all steps.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant certifications or be eligible within 18 months. The position entails 40 hours per week in a non-exempt shift with standard hospital duties.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Central Service Technician through HSPA or CSPDT through CBSPD or eligible within 18 months of hire.
• Willing to complete annual specialty accreditation education as defined by accreditation standards.

Mansioni

• Provide prompt, accurate service to patients.
• Supply sterile linen packs, basins, instrument trays, and other sterile items.
• Maintain records of cleaning, disinfection, and the sterilization processes.
• Strive for consistency in the trays provided by the department.
• Monitor and enforce controls to prevent cross-contamination per infection control policies.
• Establish and maintain sterile processing standards.
• Implement changes to stay current with new regulations and practices.
• Review current practices for potential improvements in quality of services.
