Job summary

HCA Florida Citrus Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician. You will play a critical role protecting patient safety by ensuring instruments are clean, sterilized, and ready for use.

You will support OR staff by preparing sets, managing inventory, and addressing urgent instrument needs. The ideal candidate holds a CSPDT or CRCST certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification required.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays, ensuring sterility and proper labeling.
• Managing sterilization equipment and maintaining accurate records for safety and infection prevention.
• Preparing customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and needs.
• Managing inventory and supplies in OR storage and specialty lockers, supporting the surgical team.
• Responding quickly to instrument requests during surgeries and addressing urgent equipment needs.
