Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to protect patient safety by ensuring instruments and supplies are spotless, properly assembled and ready for use. You will support surgical teams by maintaining sterile standards and efficient processing throughout shifts.

The role requires CSPDT or CRCST certification (or equivalent) and about 1 year of experience in sterile processing or a similar setting.

Qualifications

• CSPDT or CRCST certification required or preferred.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or healthcare environment desired.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records for safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts for daily schedules and procedures.
• Monitor inventory in OR storage and work with surgical team to ensure supplies are available.
• Respond quickly to instrument requests during surgeries and assist with urgent equipment needs.
