Job summary

AdventHealth in Georgia is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, disinfection and assembly of surgical instruments. Work schedule is 2pm - 10:30pm with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and weekend call rotation.

You will rotate across decontamination, assembly, sterilization and equipment management to support patient safety. Required CRCST certification, High School diploma, and knowledge of infection control.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and reusable medical equipment.
• Operates sterilization equipment, verifies parameters, reviews records, and ensures sterility indicators and tracking documentation.
• Assembles complex instrument trays, maintains inventory, and documents activities in tracking systems.
• Monitors sterilization quality, maintains logs, initiates recalls for failures, and escalates issues as needed.
• Collaborates with departments, supports onboarding, and rotates across decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and equipment management.
