Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes.
• Completion of a sterile processing program preferred.
• Six months to one year in a surgical or related health-care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization equipment functions.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies per safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare instrument trays and surgical rooms based on daily schedule and needs.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; keep area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries.
