Job summary

UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift. This onsite, full-time role performs entry-level core sterile processing tasks including decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and documentation of instrument handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification is required.
• Preferred: 3 months' certified experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs instrument and equipment decontamination and cleaning following IFU’s; disassembles items before choosing cleaning method; inspects instruments/equipment prior to assembly and packaging.
• Performs appropriate sterilization of instrument/equipment based on IFUs; inspects external indicators, filters and labels.
• Performs routine cleaning and sterilizer testing, including biological monitoring, leak testing, and Bowie-Dick tests as appropriate.
• Documents work performed using instrument tracking software or paper documentation.
• Works in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, using critical thinking and decisive judgement.
