Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech II for a full-time night shift at Dallas location. You will handle instrument trays, maintain counts, and ensure proper decontamination and sterilization processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and count sheets.
• Assembles instrument trays with proper technique.
• Wraps and contains instruments/trays.
• Tracks trays using the instrument tracking system.
• Performs decontamination with policy procedures; uses ultrasonic, instrument washers.
• Loads and operates sterilization equipment properly.

Work hours: Full Time- 40 Hours; Nights

What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
• 1 year of Sterile Processing experience preferred
• CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire Or
• CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution upon hire Or
• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire

What You Will Do

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system.
• Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually Using automated cleaners
• Ultrasonic washer
• Instrument washer
• Cart washer
• Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method.
