Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Bedford, TX is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support sterile processing operations. This full-time evening shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm–11:00pm) involves instrument tray assembly, decontamination, and tracking with the SPM system, ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include wrapping instruments, loading sterilizers, scanning trays, and maintaining accurate counts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year sterile processing experience preferred.
• CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/trays.
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the SPM system.
• Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure.
• Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower.
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method
• Scans prepared items into correct sterilizer load.

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour); Evening Shift; Monday through Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm with rotating holidays and opportunity for call.
