Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technologist to handle instruments, supplies, and equipment for surgical procedures. The role supports the circulating RN and requires independent work in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have completed externship hours for certification and possess OR instrumentation knowledge, with the ability to operate all sterilization equipment and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications

• Externship hours completed for certification.
• Wide knowledge of instrumentation used in the OR.
• Ability to operate OR sterilization and processing equipment independently.

Responsibilities

• Process decontaminated medical devices according to priorities and IFU’s.
• Receive instruments from decontamination and process appropriately.
• Perform routine cleaning of workspace/instrument room and monitor environmental monitors.
• Complete sterilization processes and high-level disinfection.
