Job summary

Duke Health's Duke Raleigh Hospital is hiring a Central Sterile Processing Technician, Certified. The role involves cleaning, decontamination, assembly, and high-level disinfection of reusable medical instruments, coordinating with OR and Sterile Processing teams.

Certification as CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA) is required; high school diploma or equivalent is needed. No experience beyond certification is required, with scheduling options including 4x10s or an evening shift after orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, assemble, and disinfect sterile instruments.
• Maintain communication with customers and departments regarding requests and delivery of sterile supplies.
• Support quality initiatives and ensure unit survey readiness.
• Operate the instrument tracking system and document sterilization loads.
• Maintain a clean, orderly central processing area and assist with training new hires.
