Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC is hiring a Central Sterile Processing Technician, Non‑Certified. You will clean, decontaminate, assemble, and disinfect scope trays and equipment, maintaining high standards and ensuring smooth instrument flow between the OR and Sterile Processing.

The role requires a high school diploma; certification CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (HSPA) within 2 years of hire; prior healthcare experience and computer familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer required.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and care/cleaning strongly preferred; sterile techniques.

Responsabilités

• Cleans, decontaminates, assembles, and disinfects scope trays and equipment following established tray lists and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Maintains communication with customers and departments regarding requests and delivery of sterile supplies.
• Promotes best practice by demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care.
• Performs assigned duties to maintain the unit in survey readiness and support quality initiatives.
• Uses the instrument tracking system to document sterilization loads and handling instructions.
