Job summary

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) seeks a Certified Special Inspector with 2-5 years of field inspection experience for work throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities include verifying construction per plans, performing inspections and testing, coordinating with clients and project teams, and documenting daily field reports. You will also contribute to technical reports and supervise junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant test experience in special inspections.
• ICC Certifications (Soils, Masonry, Fireproofing, Structural Steel, etc.) or equivalent certifications.
• NICET levels in geotechnical or soils testing, AWS/CWI, ASNT Level II/III are preferred.
• Register as a Special Inspector with Philadelphia L&I ECLIPSE program.

Responsibilities

• Verify construction is completed per plans and specifications.
• Carry out inspections, sampling and testing.
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, and GTA Project Managers.
• Record and document construction in daily field reports.
• Contribute to the generation of technical reports and special inspection summaries.
• Oversee, train, and mentor junior/less-experienced staff.
