Job summary

DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Certified Smog Technician to perform California smog inspections and emissions testing, diagnose vehicle concerns, and support the service team with quality repairs. You must hold a California Smog Check Inspector certification, have 1+ year of automotive technician experience, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

This is a 5-day schedule with Sundays and one rotating weekday off, offering a competitive pay rate.

Qualifications

• Current California Smog Check Inspector certification/license required.
• 1+ years of prior automotive technician experience.
• Experience performing vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Accurately diagnose and complete assigned work.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform California smog inspections and emissions testing following state requirements.
• Complete vehicle inspections, maintenance, and automotive repairs based on experience and skill level.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and identify needed repairs.
• Follow manufacturer, dealership, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Work with Service Advisors and other technicians to provide great customer experience.
