Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in Shipfitting or related field.
• Able to work at extreme heights or in confined spaces.
• Able to lift 40 lbs and pass a respirator fit test.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, plan and execute from drawings and procedures.
• Measure, cut, grind, fit, align and tack weld parts.
• Work in high areas or cramped spaces.
• Support ship construction, repair and overhauls in shops and onboard ships.
