Job summary

Qualified candidates hold NJ Educational Services Certificate with a School Nurse Endorsement and an NJ RN License, CPR/Professional Rescuer certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid New Jersey educational services certificate with a school nurse endorsement and NJ.A.C. title and code requirements.
• Hold and maintain a current RN license in New Jersey.
• Maintain current CPR and Professional Rescuer certifications.
• Possess a valid driver's license with no serious violations.
• Demonstrate school nurse experience preferred and knowledge of health topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide health screenings and health services for students and staff.
• Administer medications to students in accordance with law and district policy.
• Maintain confidential health records and documentation.
• Lead health education and instruction on sound health practices.
• Coordinate with health services staff and community resources.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate first aid and crisis intervention.
