Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a qualified inspector to perform certified inspections across at least two SCDOT disciplines, ensuring contractor compliance with plans, standards, and specifications.

You will assist with inspection of road and bridge construction, compile quantities for payment, obtain and process construction samples, and prepare routine project reports in a timely manner. Flexibility to work outside normal hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs certified inspection work in at least two SCDOT disciplines.
• Assists with inspection of road and bridge construction.
