Qualifications

• ACLS and BCLS must be obtained within specified timeframes after start date.
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) and state credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician.
• Administer medical gases and perform aerosol therapy.
• Obtain and analyze blood specimens and perform patient testing.
• Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Assist with CPR and monitor patient response to therapy.
• Complete patient documentation and ensure safety/infection control.
• Provide patient education and support birth to geriatric patients as assigned.
• Clean equipment and uphold safety standards.
