Job summary

Personal Touch Home Health Care Services Inc. seeks a Licensed Respiratory Therapist for a Full Time Night shift (7p–7a) at UAB St. Vincent's East in Birmingham. Work includes every 3rd weekend with PRN opportunities within the Respiratory Therapy department.

You will evaluate patients with respiratory needs, develop care plans, operate equipment, educate families, maintain gear, and respond to emergencies, with emphasis on safety and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory issues.
• Assess treatment needs, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and operate respiratory equipment.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, administer medications, and perform advanced respiratory procedures.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and community resources.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage supplies, and ensure proper sterilization.
• Respond to emergency resuscitation calls.

Education

Licensed Respiratory Therapist credential from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy
