Job Overview

The Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist performs and evaluates respiratory care modalities, sets up and maintains equipment, and performs other duties in all areas of the Respiratory Care Department. They treat patients with lung diseases or disorders resulting from respiratory issues, including conditions like asthma, bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia, chest trauma, prematurity, lung cancer, and more.

Job Description and Requirements

• Responsible to: Respiratory Department Director.
• Ensure safety precautions for patients and staff against infectious diseases; handle supplies and waste environmentally safely.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy personnel, hospital staff, medical staff, and the public.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved course and current CRT or RRT credential from NBRC.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Neat appearance and adherence to dress code.
• Good communication skills and ability to maintain professional relationships.
• Physical and mental capacity to perform duties effectively.
• Self-initiative, sound judgment, punctuality, confidentiality.
