Job description

This position, in collaboration with MDs, develops anesthesia care plans. Provides IV sedation, monitored anesthesia care, or administers general, regional, or local anesthesia for various surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures.

Monitors patients accurately and performs CPR, ventilation, or life support measures during emergencies throughout the Medical Center.

Manages patients' physiological conditions under anesthesia and initiates corrective actions as necessary or directed.

Assists with other departmental or professional duties as requested by the Manager of Anesthesiology.

Essential Duties:

1. Perform pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation (25%)
2. Prepare the OR Suite for all types of anesthesia (25%)
3. Administer, manage, and monitor anesthesia care during induction, maintenance, and emergence (25%)
4. Provide post-anesthesia care and evaluation (25%)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take appropriate safety precautions to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia care.
• Identify opportunities for improving quality, including patient outcomes and operational efficiency within the Department.
• Provide clinical support to other departments within the Medical Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
