Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist opening in Iowa

Located in Fort Dodge - 65 miles from Des Moines

Position Details:
  • Full-time, permanent position
  • Hospital employed
  • Health system provides coordinated clinic, hospital, and home-based care for patients in Fort Dodge and surrounding communities. As a designated regional referral center, it offers a wide range of primary and secondary care services. The hospital is accredited by DNV Healthcare Inc. and has achieved Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
  • All CRNA practice
  • Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy
  • 4-room model
  • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and prepares patients for required anesthetic to be administered
  • Administer anesthetics as required
  • Must function independently
  • Performs post-anesthesia duties in accordance with departmental policies
  • No Heads or Hearts
  • Patient-focused, friendly, and willing to collaborate in a team environment
  • Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Anesthesia for Nurses
  • Board eligible or board certified
  • Complies with criteria for recertification
  • Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
  • Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required
  • Experience preferred but not required
  • Eligible to work in the United States
