Job description

Hospital recently transitioned from using an outside anesthesia group to bringing anesthesia in-house. The Care Team Model includes 6 MDAs and 8 CRNAs when fully staffed.

• CRNAs work autonomously; preference for those capable of performing blocks, with experience in OB-related procedures such as epidurals and spinals.

• The facility operates 9 ORs, indicating a busy environment. Providers should be willing to take weeknight and weekend call.

• Coverage can start as early as August, with plans to book for at least 6 months, ideal for those seeking reliable and consistent locum assignments.

Types of cases primarily include bread-and-butter procedures: Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Cardiac, ENT, Bariatrics, Podiatry, and Urology.

• The CRNA must be ACLS, PALS, and CPR certified.

• Required credentials include an Iowa State Substance Certificate and a Federal DEA license.
