Job summary

MedLink GA in Cleveland, GA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians in patient examinations, record histories, and prepare exam rooms. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in eClinicalWorks and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

The ideal candidate holds CMA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of clinical experience, with strong communication and patient care skills.

Qualifications

• Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks)
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
