MedLink GA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Lexington, GA team. The role involves assisting providers during patient examinations, documenting histories and vitals in our EHR, and maintaining a clean, well-organized clinical environment.

Qualified candidates will hold CMA certification, have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably one year of clinical experience. We offer competitive pay and a supportive team environment with opportunities for growth.

• Must have CMA certification or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required; accredited medical assisting program preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and updates in EHR (eClinicalWorks).
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain sterile equipment.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
• Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and updates in electronic health records (eClinicalworks)
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use
• Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and health maintenance
• Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred
• Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient care skills
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills
